Cricket ASIA CUP 2014 UPDATE
Asia CUp cricket Tournament is going ahead as it was planned with a few minor changes to the dates and teams. Please take a look at important points which were addressed in Asian Cricket Council 4 January 2014 meetings.
- In the ACC’s meeting on 04 January 2014 it has been confirmed that Bangladesh will host the Asia Cup 2014.
- Afghanistan will be the 5th teams in the compeition.
- Total of 11 matches to be played in the tournament.
- First game to be played on 25 February 2014 and the final will be on 8th March 2014.
- Broadcasting rights of the competition were sold to “Star India”
- The final fixture/Schedule list to be announced within couple of weeks time.

on 4th January 2014, Bangladesh cricket board will present a full proof security plan to all the other participation teams to save the Asia Cup. Right now there is a greater uncertainty which might lead to cancelation of Asia Cup which is due to start on 24th Fabruary to 7th March. Indian Cricket Board has shown their concerns as well as Pakistan formly sent a letter to BCB about security concerns after threats from Banglali groups.
The next Edition of the highly successfull Asian Subcontinet premier cricket event Asia Cup 2014 will held in Bangladesh from 24 February 2014 to 7th March. The competition was supposed to held in India in 2014 but because of Indian Premier League and some international commitments of Indian Cricket Board they have withdrawn from hosting the event and now ICC gave the right to Bangladesh who last hosted the event back in 2012 when Pakistan won the competition.
