Five Years of Excellence
An Introduction:The establishment of the Abdul Wall Khan University on 25th February 2009 was a remarkable achievement in the field of higher education, which got deep roots in the dissemination and promotion of higher education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a short period of five years. In fact this great institution is not only providing opportunities to the youth and those who are striving for a better future but has also pledged to equip them with the capabilities to move with the world and face the challenges of 21st century. Under the leadership of veteran academician and skillful administration of Prof. Dr Ihsan Ali, who has worked day and night to make this institution a great seat of learning, inspite of so many hurdles and barriers,he took the challenge of starting it from scratch. Today, the institution is making progress by leaps and bounds in both academic and non-academic sectors. The university startedwith 08 departments and now there are 24 departments where more than seven thousand students are enrolled. The university has attracted 114 PhD faculty,while 74 are pursuing their degrees in foreign universitiesthat would join them upon completion of their degrees. in order to furtherenhance the capacity of the faculty on board, the university has also granted 57 indigenous scholarships, to the faculty members. The university has signed multiple MoUs with the leading universities of the world to ensure quality and create more opportunities for further research. Prospectus & Admission Form can be downloaded from the website www.gcu.edu.pk.  • A bank draft of Rs.5501- in favor, of "Treasurer, GC University Lahore" shall have to be attached. • Duly filled in admission form with requisite documents must be submitted in the office of the Deputy Registrar (Admissions) during office hours by 28-02-2014  E111=== • MS/MPhil/ Equivalent degree in relevant subject with minimum 30 Credit Hours which includes 24 Credit Hours of Course work and 06 Credit Hours of Research work/ Thesis from any HEC recognized University, with minimum 3.00/4.00 CGPA (in Semester System) or 60% marks (in Annual System). • Candidates must have qualified GAT-Subject Test with minimum of 60% marks conducted by NTS or GRE-Subject (a minimum of 60% percentile) conducted by ETS.
